Rupture disk

In case of overpressure in the molding machine.

The Rapture Disk (Bursting Plate) BP420 series is a bursting plate with the same standard dimensions and tip shape as the Dynisco resin pressure sensor (tip diameter φ7.8, mounting screw 1/2-20UNF). In the event of an overpressure during the operation of the molding machine, the bursting plate at the tip will rupture, allowing it to function as an emergency drain valve to reduce pressure, thereby minimizing damage to the machine and accidents.

Safety device/equipment "Rupture Disk"

Prevent damage to equipment due to excessive pressure! A rupture disk that reduces pressure by bursting.

The "Rupture Disk" is a safety device used to prevent damage to sealed equipment and systems such as pressure vessels, piping, and ducts due to excessive pressure. When the pressure inside the equipment or system rises abnormally, an extremely thin metal plate bursts, allowing fluid to escape and reducing the pressure. It is widely used as a safety device either in place of or in conjunction with spring-loaded safety valves. 【Features】 ■ Prevents damage from excessive pressure in equipment ■ Reduces pressure by bursting the metal plate ■ Fast pressure release rate ■ No leakage ■ Suitable for corrosive fluids, high-viscosity fluids, and adhesive fluids *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Pressure Relief | KUB Type Rupture Disk

Reusable rupture disk. [Exhibiting at INCHEM TOKYO 2025]

The KUB type is a long-lasting rupture disk. The KUB type is a special rupture disk that is extremely robust and high-performance, with the burst pressure defined by the Euler formula's buckling load calculation method. Unlike rupture disks manufactured by weakening part of the material, it is a product of REMBE's unique high technology that incorporates a buckling pin for precise full bore opening. Additionally, it features a smooth surface without weakened areas in the disk material, making it very robust and eliminating the risk of damage from misoperation, incorrect installation, or drops (from a height of about 1 meter). With a two-layer structure consisting of a seal membrane layer and a burst layer, the surface of the seal membrane layer that comes into contact with the process medium is smooth and free of scratches. It uses a highly sealable diaphragm, minimizing the risk of damage due to corrosion. The KUB type, with a maximum operating pressure ratio of 98%*, is designed to be strong against metal fatigue not only for high-pressure applications but also under harsh process conditions for gas, steam, liquid, and two-phase flow applications. Its unique manufacturing method allows it to be used even for liquid-only applications, greatly diversifying installation locations and simplifying installation, maintenance inspections, and procurement processes. *Varies by application.

Rupture Disk "AXIUS Low Pressure Inverted Type Disk"

Can also be used with liquids! AXIUS type lamp charge disk is strong against repeated pressure operation.

The "AXIUS Low Pressure Inverted Type Disk" is a patented inverted rupture disk by Faik Corporation. It is a dream rupture disk that condenses advanced technology, enabling a maximum operating pressure of up to 95% of the lower limit of the set pressure. No machining is performed when setting the pressure. Therefore, it is resistant to cycling operations and pulses, and can be used for over 100,000 cycles at maximum. 【Features】 ■ Operable at pressures up to 95% of the lower limit of the allowable tolerance ■ Achieves low pressure burst pressure with a metal single-plate structure ■ Narrow burst tolerance in low pressure range, bursting at values closer to the set pressure ■ No fragment scattering ■ Usable up to full vacuum without vacuum support *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Rapture Disk "Score Type Disk"

Available for processes with overlapping materials! POLY-SD, SCRD-FSR score-type discs.

The "POLY-SD Score Type Disk" has a thickness more than three times that of a standard tensile type disk, with pre-scored grooves on the atmospheric side of the plate. The depth of these grooves controls the burst pressure, which is set accordingly. As a result, it offers a long lifespan and consistently stable burst pressure, making it a rupture disk developed by Faik for process protection, particularly in polymerization processes. Additionally, for high pressure applications, there is the "SCRD-FSR," which features a ring welded to the outer circumference of the sheet. 【Features】 ■ A versatile option among rupture disks ■ Suitable for processes involving polymerization ■ No fragment dispersion ■ Strong against cyclic pulsation operation (compared to other tensile types) ■ Can be used up to full vacuum without vacuum support *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Performance verification of the rupture disk.

Conducting burst tests at room temperature based on the Fahrenheit temperature conversion values! Introducing the performance verification of rupture disks.

The performance verification of a rupture disk begins with the actual production of the rupture disk and its rupture. We empirically select materials with a plate thickness that meets the specifications, and then process that material into various forms, such as forming it into a dome, adding grooves, or making through-cuts. We then test the manufactured rupture disk by rupturing it to confirm whether it meets the specifications (performance). Once the tested rupture disk reaches a stage where it satisfies the specifications, we proceed to manufacture the product and the standard rupture test rupture disk. [Materials Used for the Disk] ■ Stainless Steel ■ Nickel ■ Inconel ■ Tantalum ■ Monel ■ Hastelloy ■ Teflon *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Method for setting rupture pressure

The pressure varies depending on the container used for installation! Leave the support for setting the appropriate burst pressure to us.

The setting of the burst pressure is a very important point for rupture disks, but how should one decide on the pressure to set? From a safety perspective, it is desirable to set the pressure that causes the rupture disk to burst as low as possible. On the other hand, it is generally more effective for the lifespan of the product to set the operating pressure higher, creating a larger difference from the set pressure. Therefore, considering the difference between the burst pressure and the operating pressure, as well as the allowable tolerance of the rupture disk, the specific pressure is determined based on the design pressure of the container in which it will be installed. In cases where the pressure vessel structural standards or the High-Pressure Gas Safety Act apply, the settings will be made in accordance with the applicable regulations. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
